When people ask what I do for a living, I say, “I’m a marketing writer.” (If I simply say, “I’m a writer,” people will think I smoke a pipe and write wistfully about old men and the sea). I have a great understanding for how to put myself in the shoes of the customer and how to write for the lowest common denominator of understanding.
